Jack Midson is confident about the new season
AFC Wimbledon star Jack Midson has been pleased with how his pre-season went.
The Dons striker might not have found the target as often as he wanted but claimed positives from every game.
“I think it went all right,” Midson told London24. “I feel fit.
“I’d liked to have scored a few more goals.
“I wasn’t happy with the results but we have something positive from every game then we’re building up to this week.”
The Dons lost all the pre-season games where they faced higher-placed opposition but Midson believes the difficulties will stand them in good stead.
“That can be good for you,” he added. If you play too many easy games you can get over-confident.
“We have to learn the importance of keeping the ball and keeping clean sheets.
“If you don’t keep clean sheets then you’ll struggle.”
