Arsenal boss explains positioning of Jack Wilshere

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that playing Jack Wilshere in an advanced role will give his side more goals.

The midfielder has been in scintillating form for the Gunners recently and the French manager has been delighted with his impact.

“It gives us a bit more security defensively [in the holding role] and I believe he can play a bit deeper,” he said.

“He has a little burst in the final third and still has the quality to play in there, but you want him to score goals and give assists. I think he can do it.”
