Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has moved to distance himself from manager’s job at Barcelona.

Pep Guardiola looks set to announce that he will leave the Catalan giants his summer and when asked if he would be interested in replacing the Spaniard, Wenger replied: “I’m happy here.”

The 62-year-old’s main focus is securing third spot in the league and a guaranteed spot in the group stage of next season’s Champions League.

Fourth-placed Newcastle are just three points behind the Gunners after winning their last six matches and Wenger knows a win at Stoke this weekend is a must.

“We want to show [we are better equipped for Stoke]. Every big team that goes there gets a game,” he said.

“Third place is in our hands. Stoke have played many games this season so we can have no excuses.”

“Stoke have played better than in the years before. They have given a lot in the Europa League and the FA Cup.”
