Transfer news: The Gunners are unlikely to sign Yann M’Vila

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the Gunners have ended their interest in Yann M’Vila for the time being.

The Frenchman has been a long-time target of the north Londoners but with Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere returning the Arsenal boss sees no need to invest in that area of the team.

“No [we are not still interested in M’Vila],” Wenger said.

“We wait for Diaby and Wilshere. When he is fit, Diaby is the first name on the French team sheet.

“When you look we have Alex Song, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin, Diaby, Wilshere and Mikel Arteta.

“We are not short if Diaby and Wilshere are coming back. If we have setbacks in pre-season, it could be different.”
