Transfer news: Andrey Arshavin has been linked with a transfer away from the Emirates
Andrey Arshavin’s priority is to find a new club who can pay him top wages, according to his agent.
The 31-year-old Russian spent the second half of last season on loan at his old club, Zenit St Petersburg, and although he is currently taking part in Arsenal’s pre-season preparations, he has been strongly linked with a transfer.
The Russian’s agent, Andrey Lakhter, said: “Arsenal will do everything to get rid of Arshavin.
“The most important thing for Andrey is to go somewhere where he’ll be well paid,” he added.
“I know that two Turkish clubs really want him in their ranks. There are also options in the Gulf, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.”
