Dutchman says he will meet with Gunners board over the summer
Arsenal captain Robin van Perise has given the strongest indication yet that he could stay with the Gunners after declaring his love for the club.
The Dutchman has smashed 29 goals in 35 matches this season, but with his current contract expiring at the end of next season, his long-term future is far from secure.
"I have been at Arsenal for eight years and I'm proud. At the end of the season I will sit down with the coach [Arsene Wenger] and the president [Stan Kroenke]," he told Voetbal International.
"Then we will make a cup of coffee and sit down together. I am a true Gooner. I love this club and thats no secret."
Van Persie has been with the north London club since 2004, when he moved from Feyenoord for 2.75million.
