Mikel Arteta wants his team-mates to take the strugglers seriously

Arsenal star Mikel Arteta has called on his team-mates to take tonight’s opponents, Wolves, seriously.

The bottom side have been in abysmal form, losing 10 of their 13 games in 2012 and are six points from safety.

But the Spaniard has called on his side, who all but ended the title challenge of Manchester City courtesy of a 1-0 win on Sunday, to avoid a repeat of their surprise 2-1 defeat to QPR on March 31.

“I don’t think it will be easy at Wolves,” Arteta said.

“We have some good examples this year when we have dropped points against teams near the bottom.

“We have to go there with the right mentality and the right approach and sense of pride. When you’re playing away from home, there are no easy games in the Premier League.”

Arsenal have the opportunity to move five points clear of fourth placed Tottenham, having been 10 points behind their north London rivals towards the end of February.
