Arsenal have been given an injury concern after resurgent midfielder Abou Diaby was ruled out of France’s World Cup qualifier against Belarus on Tuesday.
The France star has been one of Arsenal’s best performers this season after missing almost all of the last campaign with injury.
He carried his Premier League form into the national side, scoring the winning goal as France beat Finland.
But it now looks as though the 26-year-old has suffered yet another injury setback.
“Diaby took a bad shot and he has muscular discomfort,” said France manager Didier Deschamps.
“He is not free in his movements.”
In better news for the Gunners, Deschamps confirmed that Olivier Giroud is fit to play.
“He could play,” said Deschamps of the former Motpellier man. “He trained normally.”
