Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been selected to line up for England against France in their Euro 2012 opener.

The 18-year-old only made his debut against Norway last month but impressed Roy Hodgson sufficiently in his first start against Belgium to be handed to opportunity against the French.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has to settle for a place on the substitutes bench for France.

France: Lloris, Debuchy, Rami, Mexes, Evra, Nasri, Cabaye, Diarra, Malouda, Ribery, Benzema. Subs: Mandanda, Giroud, Matuidi, Reveillere, Menez, M’Vila, Martin, Ben Arfa, Valbuena, Clichy, Koscielny, Carrasso. England: Hart, Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole, Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Young, Welbeck. Subs: Green, Walcott, Henderson, Carroll, Baines, Jones, Jagielka, Downing, Defoe, Butland.
