Arsenal target Yann M’Vila revealed that he was fit to start against Ukraine despite Laurent Blanc selecting him on the bench.

The 21-year-old was ruled out of France’s opener against England on Monday but came off the bench against the co-hosts on Friday.

“Philippe Lambert, France’s physical trainer, told me to warm up my ankle and train right away,” the Rennes midfielder said.

“That’s what I did. Running I felt no pain. I was fine physically.”

M’Vila is in line to return to the starting XI against Sweden on Tuesday.
