Arsenal transfer news: Olivier Giroud will be able to leave Montpellier in the summer
Arsenal target Olivier Giroud has a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave if Montpellier receive the appropriate fee according the club’s president Louis Nicollin.
The 25-year-old scored 21 goals in 39 games to help the French club lift their first ever Ligue 1 title and has been linked with a move to the Emirates.
“The only one who can leave, it’s Olivier Giroud, because he has a clause,” Nicollin told TV show Stade 2.
“Then there is Mapou [Yanga-Mbiwa] too, because we promised we would let him go if there was a good offer. But these are the only two who could leave and it is not yet certain that they are going.”
