Transfer news: Serie A giants claim M’Baye Niang is to sign for them
Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton look to miss out on signing French starlet M`Baye Niang with AC Milan claiming they have won the race for his signature.
Two separate articles on the Italians’ official site made reference to the 17-year-old Caen striker, who has already represented France at under-21 level, saying he dined with vice-president Adriano Galliani last night and is set to undergo a medical today.
“Adriano Galliani flew into Milan last night and immediately went to a restaurant with new signing M’Baye Niang,” read www.acmilan.com.
“Today he will have to pass his medical.”
The youngster was on trial at Arsenal and Everton last term, while Tottenham have also been linked with his, but it appears that Milan have persuaded him to head to Italy.
Niang has been with Caen since he was 13, but only turned professional last season.
Milan also said Galliani had declined to make a move for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka - a former world player of the year during his time at the San Siro.
