Arsenal youngster Sead Hajrovic, who is on loan at Barnet has admitted he has been very lucky not to be ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Switzerland youth international slipped in the 48th minute to allow Gulls forward Danny Stevens through on goal and he made no mistake.

The 18-year-old was stretchered off and left the ground on crutches with a protective boot around his right foot but he revealed that he will be back training next week.

“Just got out of training ground, physio said I was very lucky, could have been much much worse, but gonna be back training next week:D,” Hajrovic tweeted.

Barnet manager Lawrie Sanchez feared the worst after the 1-0 defeat, believing that it would be the last he would see of the young Gunner.

“It looks quite bad and it looks as if he will be out for the rest of the season,” he said. “He’ll probably go back to Arsenal.

“He’s been unfortunate that he’s come into a situation where we’ve had six loan players and he’s been the one who has to miss out.

“Then he plays tonight and he gets injured. It hasn’t been a happy time for him at Barnet. We wish him all the best.

“He’s a decent player and he’ll go onto good things. He’s still learning the game. It’s disappointing that it ends like this.”
