Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that Barcelona’s interest in his players has been a compliment about the Gunners’ style of play.
Successive summers have seen influential players leave the Emirates for the Nou Camp with Alex Song departing during the recent transfer window, following former captain Cesc Fabregas who joined the Catalan giants last year.
But Wenger thinks interest from Barca in his stars highlights how similar the two teams are.
Wenger told BeIN Sport: “That Barcelona come to look and buy our players can be seen as a compliment for us, because it proves that our players are well-educated and also that our players are those that are most relevant to their style of game.”
