Transfer news: Marouane Chamakh could be surplus to requirements at Arsenal next season

Arsenal’s Marouane Chamakh is not a target for Turkish side Besiktas, according to their manager Samet Aybaba.

The Moroccan striker, who managed only a single goal in 19 appearances for the Gunners last season, has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer.

But reports of a possible transfer to the Turkish side could be wide of the mark.

“We’re not attempting to sign Marouane Chamakh,” said Aybaba.
