Earlier this month Wanyama’s former youth coach Jean-Marie Abeels claimed that Arsenal had made contact with Celtic for the 21-year-old, who has impressed for the SPL champions during his two seasons at the club.

And Wanyama, who is currently on international duty with Kenya, has told TV station NTV that he would consider a move to the Premier League.

“I still have contract with Celtic and I am their player, if anything comes up and it is good for me and the club, from there I will move on,” he said.

Quizzed on interest from the Premier League, he continued: “At the moment there are some things, some talks going on.

“But I am concentrating with the national side and I have left that with my agent and I have not contacted him.

“There are talks going on, but as I said I am on international duty and I will know what is going on when I go back to the club.”
