Transfer news: The Gunners have reportedly taken M’Baye Niang on trial

Caen coach Patrice Garande believes that Arsenal target M’Baye Niang should remain at the club, despite reportedly joining the Gunners on trial.

The 17-year-old forward has also been linked with Newcastle and Stoke but the new boss of the French club believes Niang should focus on his current club.

“What I say in relation to him is simple, he has talent - yes, does he have the potential to make a career - yes,” Garande said.

“But is he doing the right thing for this at the moment - no.”

Despite the coach’s disappointment, he would play Niang next season, if the forward stayed.

“If he is here I will count on him, he leaves tomorrow we won’t,” he added.
