Transfer news: Galatasary claim they are winning the race for Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin
Galatasary claim they are close to beating Arsenal and Tottenham to the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin.
The Turkey international has failed to establish himself at Madrid since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund last summer and manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to let him leave the club on loan.
North London rivals Arsenal and Spurs both hope to secure the 23-year-old’s signature, but Galatasary director Adem Cukur claims the Turkish giants are leading the race.
“I hope to see Nuri Sahin at Galatasaray soon,” Cukur told Sabah Sport.
“The player is very close and the deal could be completed any moment.
“[Galatasary Manager] Fatih Terim wants him to be the team’s number 10.”
