Czech Republic team manager and Liverpool legend Vladimir Smicer has cast doubt on Arsenal star Tomas Rosicky’s chances of starting for his country in tonight’s Euro 2012 quarter final against Portugal.

The Gunners playmaker has been out of action since the 2-1 win over Greece on June 12 but took part in training yesterday.

“Will he be able to play from the start? I don’t think so,” Smicer told agency CTK.

“He hasn’t trained for eight days, only doing some work on a bike.

“In order for him to play in such a tough match, he should at the very least have had three full training sessions in order to be 100% ready.”
