Transfer news: Robin van Persie has been strongly linked with a move away from Arsenal, with Juventus among the front-runners.
Juventus Director General Beppe Marotta has hinted that while signing Arsenal’s Robin van Persie remains a dream for the Serie A outfit, it could be difficult to make it reality.
Van Persie has been linked with a move to the Serie A outfit after voicing his unhappiness at what he sees as a lack of ambition from the Arsenal board. The two Manchester clubs are also desperate to land the 28-year-old Dutchman, but Arsenal are reportedly keen for him to see out the final year of his contract.
“It’s necessary to always have dreams and ambitions, but at the same time you also have to contend with the reality of everyday facts,” said Marotta said when asked about Van Persie at a Lega Calcio meeting.
“We’re relaxed and we know what we have to do. This is the most important thing,” he added.
