Montpellier star Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has insisted that Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will not score past his old club.
The Frenchman joined the Gunners after firing the French side to their first Ligue 1 triumph in the club’s history with 21 goals.
“He is coming back here, we warned him it won’t be easy to him, he won’t score against us,” Yanga-Mbiwa said in the pre-match press conference.
Giroud came on as a substitute for Lukas Podolski 15 minutes from the end of their 6-1 victory over Premier League new-boys Southampton.
