QPR drew their last game 1-1 with Everton, while Arsenal head into the match against Mark Hughes’ side off the back of disappointing defeats against Norwich and Schalke.

Former Real Madrid star Granero knows the R’s face a tough challenge in north London, describing Arsenal as ‘very high class’, but he is confident they can cause deal another blow to the Gunners’ title hopes.

He told QPR’s official website: “The most important thing is the team and getting points on the board. When we win that first game everything will fall into place for us.

“Saturday represents us with another opportunity. We don’t feel as though we are too far away.”

“We know we can play against the top sides as we have proved.

“Arsenal are a great team with very high class, quality players. They are one of the best teams in the Premier League.

“They wouldn’t have expected to lose to Norwich last weekend, so they will want to respond. Arsenal won’t want to lose two league games in a row.

“But we want the victory as well. We want the first three points of the season, so we will work hard and hopefully cause them problems.”
