The former Arsenal man suffered cardiac arrest at White Hart Lane

Tottenham have sent their best wishes to former Bolton star Fabrice Muamba after he retired from football.

The 24-year-old suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch at White Hart Lane and has been told that he will be unable to play again.

“Everyone at the Club sends their best wishes to Fabrice Muamba, who today announced his retirement from professional football on medical advice,” a club statement read.

We should like to wish him every success for the future.”
