Spurs chief admits he would settle for finishing fourth

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp conceded that Spurs will struggle to finish above north London rivals Arsenal following their 2-1 reverse against Norwich City at White Hart Lane.

The defeat leaves Spurs two points behind the Gunners who also have a game in hand, while Newcastle are now level on points with the Lilywhites and Chelsea are two points adrift.

Tottenham have tasted victory in just one of their last eight league matches and Redknapp believes the battle for fourth will be won by the team with the most desire.

“It is all still to play for. It is going to be close, but there are still five games to go. It is the team who wants it most,” he said.

“We would settle for finishing fourth. Champions League football is the key.

“It would be lovely to finish above Arsenal, but that is going to be tough know.

“It is still all to play for - Chelsea have to play Arsenal, Newcastle have to play Chelsea, Chelsea have to play Liverpool away, so who knows?”

Tottenham are in FA Cup action this weekend when they will face the Blues for a place in the final, while their next league clash is against QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday, April 21.
