Arsenal youngster Joel Campbell believes he has learned a lot from his experience on loan at French club Lorient.

The striker scored four goals in 25 games for the Ligue 1 club but is set to rejoin the Gunners in July.

“Coming to Lorient has been really good for me,” Campbell told the club’s official site.

“It’s a new experience for me to come and get a taste of French football, which is very competitive. I’ve learnt a lot here.”

The 19-year-old also admitted his frustration after failing to break into the Arsenal side last season.

“It was tough for me because I wanted to play for Arsenal this season,” he added.

“But it’s a new experience for me and it’s a question of doing well, learning from European football and then coming back to Arsenal.”
