Barnet player/joint head coach Edgar Davids is hoping that the Bees can improve their squad in January.
The Dutchman spent time at Tottenham, under now-Fulham manager Martin Jol, as well as Crystal Palace and is likely to use his contacts to bring players in.
“We will see,” he said, when asked if he’d be looking at those clubs. “We have players we need.
“Sometimes they have talent that they want to style in our system. We will see and that’s all I can say.”
However, the net is being cast wide as the Bees look to pull themselves away from relegation danger.
“Absolutely there are [players we want],” Davids added. “That’s not a secret and we should be looking at them.
“You have players that need the opportunity to develop themselves and they need to play as well.
“They can develop themselves better if they can play first-team football somewhere. We’ll have to sit down and plan it.”
The Dutchman is trying to promote the concept of giving younger players, who might have been released by Premier League sides, a chance to shine at a lower level and develop them at the same time.
“The system we play and the ability to develop a player,” he explained. “It’s not only about winning – you were thinking strangely - it’s about the whole concept.
“It’s about giving a chance to develop players. You will attract more players and the players will benefit from the whole structure.”
