Top promoter Frank Warren is looking to end the year on a high note, when he stages his ‘Blockbuster’ bill on December 15, with a line-up of champions coming to the ExCeL Arena in Newham’s Docklands.

Warren confirmed preliminary details for the big show this week and his return to Newham, where he staged his record-breaking Haye v Chisora summer show at West Ham United FC in July.

Now he’s back in town at the ExCeL where the 2012 Olympic boxing proved such a success, with Commonwealth middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders and WBO Intercontinental cruiserweight king Tony Conquest on parade.

WBO world lightweight king Ricky Burns, who retained his title when he defeated challenger Kevin Mitchell recently, is featured on the bill alongside Commonwealth super-middleweight king George Groves.

TKO Gym-based Saunders, unbeaten in 15 fights, is looking forward to his fourth Commonwealth title fight of 2012 after winning the crown in April – blasting out Tony Hill inside a round at the Royal Albert Hall.

Since then, he has slammed tough Welsh rival Bradley Pryce and Aussie Jarrod Fletcher in a style that suggests he can go on to more prestigious title triumphs in the future.

After 10 straight victories, cruiserweight Conquest is also determined to continue the form that has brought him impressive title wins in recent action.

In July, he avenged an old amateur loss against TKO Gym rival Leon Williams in explosive style, mercilessly crushing his foe in the first round to retain his Southern Area title.

Conquest, who has set his sights on winning a Lonsdale belt, followed up in style in September, halting tough Dubliner Ian Tims inside eight rounds to take the WBO Intercontinental cruiserweight belt at York Hall.
