Brentford manager Uwe Rosler felt that former Southampton defender Harlee Dean was outstanding for the Bees against Preston North End.
The consensus had been that Bees goalkeeper Simon Moore was the west Londoner’s best player but the German manager felt that the stopper had delivered his expected performance.
“I don’t think Simon made some outstanding saves,” Rosler said. “He didn’t give any rebounds. He contested one or two crosses.
“I don’t think he had three-four unbelieveable saves. I expected a talented goalkeeper like Simon to make those saves.
“He had a good strong performance but it was not outstanding.
“I think Harlee Dean had a fantastic game. The two full backs were very strong today. Shaleum Logan first half was outstanding.
“Simon got a lot of credit this season and he deserved it.
“Other players deserved their mention, especially Harlee Dean. He’s shown, at a very difficult place to go, what a talent he is.”
