Transfer News: Harry Kane is open to returning to The Den next season
Tottenham youngster Harry Kane has admitted that he would be tempted to rejoin Millwall on loan next season.
The 18-year-old has scored eight goals in 24 appearances since joining the Lions in January, helping the club achieve safety in the Championship with three games to go.
In the first half of the season Kane was a regular for Tottenham in the Europa League and scored against Shamrock Rovers, but the north Londoner’s progress ended at the group stage, leading to his move to the Lions.
“I’ll assess my position next season,” he told London24.
“I’ll go back to Spurs and take it from there.
“Millwall is a great club with great fans. If it happens I’ll be delighted but I’ll see what happens.”
Kane won the fans over, not just with his goal-scoring prowess, but also with his impressive work rate.
“It’s been an experience,” he added. “You have to be tough and get on with it.
“It’s the next step up from League One with Leyton Orient. I feel I have done a good job.”
Kane will look to add to his goal tally when Millwall travel to Ipswich on Saturday for their penultimate fixture of the season.
