Millwall star Josh Wright is set to sign a new deal with the Championship club.

The 22-year-old joined the club on a short-term deal in November and has impressed manager Kenny Jackett with his performances in recent weeks.

The Lions boss admitted after the 2-1 win over Leicester on April 14 that he was hoping to keep the midfielder and it appears that his wish is to be granted.

The 22-year-old’s father and agent Mark Wright tweeted: “Josh deal all but done at Millwall. Hopefully sorted by the weekend in time for the Blackpool game.”

The former Scunthorpe midfielder has scored once in his 17 league appearances.
