Andy Keogh will make his return to Molineux next season after the Midlands club were relegated on Sunday

Millwall striker Andy Keogh believes he has nothing to prove to former club Wolves when the two sides face each other in the league next season.

The Lions have assured their Championship safety, while the Midlands club’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on Sunday after a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

“I’ve nothing to prove to Wolves,” Keogh told London24.

“I helped them get promoted and did a lot for the club in my time there so it would be nice to see some old faces.”

The 25-year-old made 116 league appearances for Wolves but his last competitive appearance for the club came in August 2010.

“I wasn’t playing at Wolves so I wasn’t happy,” he added.

“I’ve been on loan [to Cardiff, Bristol City and Leeds] and some of those weren’t the best as some of the managers didn’t back me.

“I’ve come here and the manager has backed me. I’ve not looked back since.”

Keogh has scored nine goals for Millwall in 17 appearances in the second half of the season.
