Spurs striker Jon Obika says he has been warmly welcomed at Charlton after sealing his loan move from Spurs last week.
The 22-year-old, who has previously spent time on loan at Yeovil Town, Millwall and Crystal Palace, came off the bench in stoppage time for his debut in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
“It’s been good,” Obika told CAFC Player. “It was nice to see the lads on Saturday and Monday was a proper introduction.”
Obika will stay at The Valley until the end of the season and he is excited about the challenge ahead.
“Saturday was weird at the start, it was quite crazy as I know a few people from Yeovil and also David Button who was at Spurs so I was welcomed well,” he said.
“I’ve played at The Valley with Yeovil and in youth cup game few years back. It was nice to see the stadium again but I’ve never seen it as packed. It was a good buzz.
“Monday was like a normal day of training. It was good to see new lads and a different way of playing and I’m just looking forward to continuing training and the game on Saturday.”
