Chelsea Transfer News: Wagner Ribeiro claims that Lucas Moura does not want to leave Brazil

Chelsea target Lucas Moura does not want to leave Brazil until after the 2014 World Cup according to his agent.

Sao Paulo reported that they had rejected a £32million bid from the Blues for the 19-year-old playmaker, but representative Wagner Ribeiro insisted that offer was never formalised because of the player’s intentions.

“Lucas doesn’t want to go,” Ribeiro told ESPN Brazil. “He doesn’t want to leave Brazil before the 2014 World Cup.

“I was at Roman Abramovich’s house with the Israeli businessman Pini Zahavi. If I said that the price was €40m (£32m), he would pay it.

“But there was no proposal because he knows that Lucas wants to stay in Brazil.”
