Chelsea transfer news: Hulk wants to move to the Premier league according to Teodoro Fonseca
Hulk’s agent says his client must leave Porto so he can win the Champions League and cement his position in the Brazilian national side.
The forward has been heavily linked with the Blues for over a year and those rumours have intensified since target man Didier Drogba announced he was going to leave Stamford Bridge.
Hulk has been utilised mainly on the right by Porto rather than a centre forward, but Teodoro Fonseca has said that Chelsea are interested in the 25-year-old and he is interested in joining them.
“Porto are a big club, with a big structure and who are in a good position in Uefa’s ranking,” Teodoro Fonseca is quoted as saying by Lancenet. “The problem is the Portuguese Liga.
“Hulk has won everything at Porto, except the Champions League. He has the dream to win this tournament and to cement his place in the Brazil national team.
“For that to happen, he needs to move to a more competitive league, and we admire the Premier League a lot.
“Of course Porto will not let him go easily. His release clause is worth €100 million (£80m), but in the end his desire will prevail.
“There will need to be negotiations, but Porto are not saying that they will only sell for €100m (£80m).”
