Arjen Robben is convinced the German club will emerge triumphant in the Champions League final

Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has fanned the flames ahead of the Champions League final against former club, Chelsea, insisting that the German club will emerge triumphant.

While the Dutchman is delighted the Blues beat Barcelona to reach the final, he insists that they will not be leaving Munich with the trophy.

“I really enjoyed my stay at Chelsea and I am pleased that the club have reached the final,” Robben told Voetbal International.

“Chelsea perhaps don’t play the most beautiful football, but it is effective and they have a couple of high class players such as Didier Drogba.

“I watched them in the semi-final against Barcelona and they did very well defensively.

“But I have to disappoint them, because they will not win the final.”

There have been suggestions that Bayern can not cope with the pressure of finals after they were beaten 5-2 by Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund in last weekend’s German Cup Final.

“We can cope with the pressure,” Robben insisted.

“When we are put under pressure, that’s when we produce our best performances.”
