Juan Mata has been crowned as the Blues’ best player for the 2011/12 season
Chelsea star Juan Mata was named as the Blues’ player of the year after an excellent first season in English football.
The 24-year-old has made 34 league appearances scoring six goals and has often been the glue that held the side together.
“It’s an amazing season for me,” he said.
“We won the FA Cup in my first year.
“We have the chance to win the Champions League - history for this club.
“So I’ll never forget this season.”
