Adding an Olympic gold medal to his burgeoning collection of prizes would complete a perfect year, admitted Chelsea star Juan Mata.
The midfield is in the Spain squad for the Olympic Games in London.
It means a chance to supplement the FA Cup winner’s medal and Champions League medal he collected last season.
“Spain have won in recent years because behind the success there is sacrifice and a lot of hard work, and this is a good path to follow,” said the 24-year-old.
“Personally I’ve had a fantastic season, and if we win, it would be a perfect summer and a first season in England in which I couldn’t have asked for more.”
