Transfer news: Fluminense full back Wallace could be on his way to Chelsea in a £5million move though the Brazilian club’s director says a deal has not been yet completed.
The Blues have held a 40 per cent stake in the teenager’s economic rights since 2010 following their free transfer of Deco to the Brazilian club.
And with Juventus and Inter Milan also circling, Rodrigo Caetano has admitted that the European champions are currently in negotiations for the 18-year-old.
But the director was keen to stress that no deal has been completed yet, telling Terra: “I can’t deny there are ongoing negotiations with Chelsea, but the deal isn’t done yet, we still have exchange documents.
He added: “And there is a non-disclosure agreement clause, and in case the information leaks, the deal might not happen.
“Let’s hope this problem doesn’t prevent the deal from happening.”
Fluminense manager Abel Braga said: “Wallace has been negotiated for a long time. He is a player that has impressed. Do you think people abroad sign someone based on one game?
“They watch a player for two, three months - sometimes even a year. They are taking a great player and Fluminense are completely right in selling him.”
