Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku has admitted that he is an interpreter in the West Bromwich Albion dressing room.
The Belgian has multi-lingual skills, and appreciates having a solid education behind him, believing that it has helped his career.
He explained: “I speak Belgian, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Spanish and English and I also understand German. I speak a little bit of German.
“I sometimes act as an interpreter for Claudio Yacob (Argentinian midfielder). I will speak with him in Spanish.
“I think education is very important. It was important for me to have my degrees at school so I could also go to England.
“That was the one thing my parents wanted before I came to England, that I could have my degrees.
“Education is very important in Belgium and, if you didn’t do well at school in the week, you couldn’t play football at the weekend.”
