Michael Essien believes west Londoners can upset the European champions

Michael Essien thinks it’s Chelsea’s “time” to beat European Champions Barcelona.

The Blues are set to face Pep Guardiola’s men in the last four of the Champions League, looking to avenge their semi-final exit in 2009.

Andre Iniesta scored a last-gasp winner for Barca the last time they met and Esiien is desperate to avoid more heartbreak.

“We have played them a few times in the last eight years or so and they are definitely beatable,” he said on his official personal website.

“I have a feeling it’s our time to get one over on them.”

“The last time we played them it was full of drama and had some superb football,” he continued.

“That game had everything, including a couple of great goals; we had them where we wanted them, but failed to finish them off and paid the price.”
