Chelsea’s new signing Oscar has told Roberto Di Matteo he is ready to adapt to fit in to his new manager’s plans.
The £25million recruit from Internacional was in sparkling form for Brazil’s Olympic team in their 3-2 victory over Egypt on Thursday, and is already looking forward to making his mark at Stamford Bridge.
“This is a dream for me. After the Olympics I am going to talk to the manager,” said Oscar, 20.
“I am ready to do whatever the manager wants me to do.
“For Internacional I played in several different positions, so I have no problem adapting.”
The Samba star is hoping to win honours with the west London club, and spoke about his excitement at the upcoming season.
“I’m joining Chelsea hopefully to win more titles,” he said. “The project is very exciting, especially with the young players that they are signing.
“The offer was very good for me and I didn’t have to think twice about signing.
“I am good friends with [fellow Brazilians] David Luiz, Ramires and Lucas Piazon at Chelsea, so they will help me adapt.”
