Florent Malouda has wished Chelsea well despite being frozen out in his final year at the club.
The 32-year-old is a free agent after his contract with the west Londoners expired at the end of the season.
Malouda was an important player for the first five years of his Chelsea career but did not make a single first team appearance last term and was sent to train with the youth team.
But he refuses to criticise his former paymasters, saying: “I had great memories from Chelsea, winning the league and the cups.
“The past year has been difficult for me, but to be honest the positive has been much better than the negative.
“I enjoyed good times at Chelsea with some great people at the club,” added the Frenchman, who now hopes to seal a move to a top European club.
“I will make a choice on my next destination in a couple of weeks, there is some interest which means there are people still interested in me that believe in my football talent. I still have what it takes to play at the top level.”
