Gary Cahill believes that the doubt over his ability to handle big games can be put to bed after his performances in the Champions League
Chelsea star Gary Cahill believes that he has silenced some of critics after his performances in the Champions League.
The former Bolton man played a key role as the Blues became champions of Europe for the first time and the defender believes that having the big game experience will be a boost going into Euro 2012.
“It’s been great experience for me playing in those big games and it will stand me in good stead,” Cahill said.
“If there was criticism people could level at me before, it was I hadn’t played in any big games.
“Hopefully I have put that to bed now and I’m looking forward to playing in even more of these huge games now.
“The Champions League was my biggest test so far. But my next big test now comes with England.”
