Transfer news: Ramires is open to a return to Brazil
Chelsea star Ramires has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to former club Cruzeiro, hailing them for helping to start his career.
The midfielder played a huge part in the Blues winning the Champions League, although he was banned for the final.
“I hope for that, that Cruzeiro would come now and try,” he told SporTV. “But, it’s difficult because the value is very high.
“But if they come up with the money, I’d definitely go back. I was happy, I always say I want to go back because it was the club that gave me an opportunity, launched me to the world.
“At the times they shouted ‘Ramires Warrior’, I shivered. Sometimes I put it on the internet to watch the games, I remember them singing my name after the goals.
“I never said it, but inside me I thought about it a lot when I was going to Chelsea. I said: ‘I’m going to a blue team, and I’ve been very happy in another.’”
