Chelsea star Frank Lampard has no plans to announce his international retirement although he will discover today whether his Euro 2012 dreams are over.

The midfielder will have a scan on a thigh injury today (Thursday) after picking up the injury yesterday, with Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson on the standby list.

The 33-year-old, who has 90 caps for his country, knows that his time is running out but he won’t call it a day.

“I don’t see myself retiring from international football in the near future, so I wouldn’t call this my last tournament necessarily,” Lampard said.

“But I’m no fool and I know that age is a factor.

“I will take this as potentially one of my last chances. In the Champions League I had that same mind-set.”
