Chelsea target Cesar Azpilicueta is open to leaving current club Marseille in order to pursue his international football dream after being left out of Spain’s Euro 2012 squad.

The 22-year-old full back caught the eye at the Stade Velodrome with his performances in Ligue 1 and has been heavily linked with a move to west London.

“My dream is to play for the national team”, Azpilicueta told Sportmag.

“I want to play for a club that allows me to achieve this goal.

“This year we [Marseille] played in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and that’s not bad in terms of international level.

“If however, we had been the champions this year, it would have been easier for me, which is a shame. But it is like that, that’s the reality and we must accept this.”
