Chelsea transfer news: Hulk says that he wants to quit Porto
Hulk says he is a wanted man and believes now is the time to leave Porto so he can cement his place in the Brazil squad ahead of the World Cup.
The powerful forward has been linked with a host of clubs throughout the continent with Chelsea said to be leading the chase for his signature.
The 25-year-old has a release clause of £80million, but it is thought a deal could be done for less than half that.
Reports say the Blues are in talks with the Portuguese giants but Hulk thinks they could face plenty of competition.
“I honestly do not know what my future holds, but I am not crazy to leave Porto,” Hulk was quoted by Globoesporte as saying.
“All I know is that there are several other clubs besides Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain who have expressed an interest in me.
“If negotiations reach a good stage and some European club comes to an agreement with Porto, then I will leave.
“I know there are two years left [to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil], but in a way there is not much time left. All I can promise is to give my all for my club to earn a place in the squad.”
