Transfer news: Alvaro Pereira has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge

Long-term Chelsea target Alvaro Pereira is to hold crunch talks with his club Porto amid speculation that he could be on his way to Chelsea.

The Uruguay international wing back has reportedly been targeted by the Blues as they look to strengthen their left flank.

The 26-year-old was a Chelsea target under former Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas and his successor Roberto Di Matteo maintains an interest the South American.

Speaking to Maisfutebol, Pereira’s agent Alejandro Savich said: “We are due to hold an important meeting with Porto, but I do not want to speculate on what the outcome will be.”
