The Blues will sit down with the Ivory Coast international’s agent and attempt to agree a deal
Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has revealed that the club will hold talks with striker Didier Drogba’s agent this week.
The Ivory Coast striker is out of contract and his last act as a Blues player could be scoring the winning penalty against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
“Didier is a big-match player and he did it once again,” said Buck of a player who has now scored nine goals in nine finals for the west Londoners.
“(Chief executive) Ron Gourlay is going to sit down with his agent this week and we’ll see where it goes.
“We have to do what’s best for Chelsea Football Club and Didier has to do what’s best for him.”
