Chelsea transfer news: Porto want £80million for Hulk
Porto have said they are willing to let Hulk leave the club, as long as someone comes up with his £80million release clause.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past, while it is thought Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interested.
Hulk’s contract deal expires in 2016 and Porto chief Pinto da Costa insists that unless someone activates his release fee, the player will be staying at the Estadio do Dragao.
“I say today what I said a year ago, I will do everything to keep Hulk at Porto,” he told Porto TV. “I’m not interested in selling him.
“Hulk has a price and we are not going to negotiate and accept an inferior price to that of his clause, our desire is for him to be in our squad next season.”
And the player himself seemed quite happy to remain in Portugal.
“My future is in the hands of Porto and my agent, now I do not say if I leave or I stay with the club,” Hulk said from Brazil.
“At this moment my only desire is to celebrate the league title success, to rest and think of the national team.
“I am calm as I have signed a deal for another four years anyway.”
